“We've done business with Trey for years and his dad who started the business before that. The technicians have always come out quickly - even in the cold & dark. Our system finally needed replacing after 15 + years and the new system was installed the same day without hassle. I wish all of the other repairs that a house periodically needs could be taken care of so easily, usually with 1 phone call. I like value and the price has always been fair.”
“Prentice Alsup is a fantastic HVAC Vendor. They do a vast amount of work for our company Stones River Property Management. We receive quotes in a prompt matter as well as follow up's if parts need to be ordered or an unexpected issue arises. They are willing to do after hour calls if needed and always do their best to schedule appointments with our tenants as quickly as possible, even during the peak seasons of extreme temperatures.
Prentice Alsup is a very professional company that offers competitive rates for their services. I highly recommend them to anyone that needs either residential or commercial HVAC service.”

A: Most manufacturers offer a ten-year part warranty for residential equipment that has been registered. If the equipment was not registered after installation, the warranty defaults to five years. Transfer of warranty varies by manufacturer. The manufacturer’s warranty does not cover our service call charge or the cost of refrigerant.
A: We recommend having your system serviced twice annually (once for heat, once for air conditioning) to assure the equipment is operating safely and providing maximum efficiency. Our company offers a twice a year maintenance discount program that drastically reduces the chance of break-downs and increases dependability by finding any potential problems and fixing them quickly. If you would like to be added to our program, give our office a call and we will you get you taken care of!
A: We recommend cleaning or replacing your air filters at least once a month (or every 30 days). Changing your HVAC system’s air filters is one of the easiest and cheapest things you can do to keep it running efficiently. A dirty air filter restricts air flow to your HVAC system, resulting in higher energy costs, more repairs, and a shorter system lifespan.

A: In general, equipment that has to work harder to keep your home at a comfortable temperature will need to be replaced sooner than equipment that does not endure quite as much usage. To really make the most of your equipment, you will need to clean or replace the filters monthly and schedule twice yearly preventative maintenance visits. On average, most units have a life expectancy of 10-15 years.
A: If your HVAC system requires constant repairs, is 15 years or older, or can’t heat or cool your home properly, we recommend you replace it. When an HVAC system ages, it doesn’t operate as efficiently and could actually end up costing you more money than it should.
Also, if you've had the same HVAC system for 15 years or more, it would be a good idea to talk to an HVAC contractor about having it inspected to determine if it's time for a replacement. Even if your old system has worked without problems for years, a professional technician is trained to detect any possible operation or safety issues that are a direct indication that the system needs to be replaced. Call us now to schedule your system's check up!
